Do you like them? do they break down a lot, how much maintenance do you usually put into them? In general, are they a good car to have?

beware.
they are notorious for having bad transmissions. the transmission is an electronic shift type and they cost around 2000 to replace.
also watch out for the power window actuators. they tend to go out often and that repair is almost 200 per switch.

avoid the chrysler.
look to Toyota sienna. Honda Oddyssey. Or The GM minivans.

Chrysler is top of the line mini van, they share all the same issues that other mini vans Chrysler builds suffer from, Newer vans seem to be better, some early vans still have transmission issues, proper maintenance is key to avoiding problems. Use factory compatible fluids, and service transmissions often (30K).
They are usually loaded (have all the extra options) so there is simply more to fail, BCM is (Body control Modules) have issues, theft systems are problematic.

great car. my family has had our 2003 dodge grand caravan ES for 5 years and have not had any major problems. all you need to do is give them regular maintence and they will be fine. and besides the chrysler minivans are the on;y ones to offer stow n' go and swievel n' go. and for 2009 chrysler will be adding a video screen that turns around. over all chrysler is the minivan leader.
