Im trying to restore/customize my cuda and im putting in some custom digital gauges in and it seems when l disconcet the ''A1/Q1 Ammeter Batt'' wire and the ''Grnd from the Voltage limiter'' from the old ''Cluster'' the car wont crank with the ignition, l can not see on the schematic where there used for the ignition or starting systems. Is there something im missing?

It,s a crime to put those guages in.This is why it won,t start!It,s telling you you are doing something wrong.Don,t kill your cuda!!!!!!!

The ammeter is simply in line with the battery & alternator, in other words if u want to eliminate the ammeter simply connect the two wires ( from original ammeter) together, use this connection for ur B+ (use a fuse for circuit protection) , this will take the ammeter out of the circuit.
This circuit is problematic & in later mopars they did away with it completely, ever wonder why newer cars do not have ammeter gages, because u get the same info from a voltage gage, & have less wire (size) & amperage to deal with at the dash.

sounds as if by doing this you caused a dead short!!
also is your engine directly grounded to the firewall? for a good solid ground!And if it worked with the old gauges in then you are hooking them up wrong as well!! you might need a bit of help doing your gauges!!
