l have a 2003 PT Cruiser and the headlamps are turning a murky yellowish tone.Is there anyway to some how remove the headlamps and clean that?I am assuming it is on the inside or am l looking at either headlamp covers or completely replacing them altogether?

Also, in regards to the headlamp covers (the blackout kind).Are those really illegal?If l had them on during the day and just removed them at night, l would not see the big deal.

that yellow hue on your headlights is actually on the outside and can be removed, it is coused by sun bakeing as well as road debri, you can buy a kit from most automotive suppy stores or just use a fine rubbing compound and a buffing wheel, either one, make sure you keep the head light wet with water when buffing to make sure you dont burn a dark patch in it, it is pretty simply to remove that hue and wont take very long.

the color is weathering on the outside of the lens.
the best way to fix it is.
start with a 800 grit wet or dry sand paper & wet sand it until smooth.
then move up to a 1500 grit & wet sand again.
then move on to a medium cutting rubbing compound & finish with a cleaner/polishing compound.

if u do not already have these things then it will be cheaper to buy a kit from a parts store that will have just the amount of paper & compound in it that u will need.
