i have a 2007 chrysler and the gEAR SHIFT IS STUCK AT PARK

What kind of Chrysler is it? Did you use the brakes while trying to change the gears? Do you have the gear shifter locked by a key?

sounds like perhaps the brake interlock that keeps the car in park is not functioning properly, press the brake pedal and see if your brake lights are working. of course sometimes one part of the switch will go out and the others will still function properly, it should still be under warranty, I'd call your dealer if l were you.

the other peoples are correct, get some one strong to help you t. get them to rock the car forward & backwards while you try to get it out of park, this uselly works. is the car parked on a hill?

sounds like it might be torq-locked,rock the car back and forth a couple of times and see if that helps.

Your car has a shift lock which prevents u from shifting out of 'Park' if the brake pedal is not pressed. If u still can not shift after pressing & holding down the brake pedal, the shift lock is defective & it will need to be serviced at a dealer.

This lock can be temporarily disabled. Check ur owner is manual under the ''Starting & Operating'' section, & read how to disable the ''Brake/Transmission Shift Interlock System''.

It is important ur dealer fix this problem as soon as possible.
