on the above mentioned car l have taken the fuel tank out flushed and reinstalled it, tested the fuel pump, and replaced the fuel filter.l can get it to start and run once in a while for about ten minutes.other than that l have to pour gas into the air intake to get it started.l can hear the fuel pump running and there is some pressure in the injector feed tube, not always a lot but pressure.Any ideas?is there a sensor that activates the pump or controls fuel feed to the cylinders?l really miss carburators!!!

Possibly the fuel pressure regulator (located on the fuel rail) has gone bad. It regulates how much pressure goes to the injectors & if not working properly will keep the pressure from being correct.

Fuel pump might be working, but not putting out enough pressure. Was it tested for pressure, or just tested to see if it was working? I've seen them working but with half the pressure they should have or less.

Could be a fuel tube bent & is preventing the fuel from flowing as it should.

l will go ahead & figure the lines and/or hoses r not leaking anywhere as u would smell the gas if it was leaking.
