Im looking into trading in my car for a PT Cruiser, l have heard good things as well as bad about them... what is your opnion?

l do not like how they look. They're sort of hearse-like, but not enough like a hearse to be awesome.

Reliable, interesting styling, lots of cargo room.
Also, underpowered and only modest gas mileage.
Not bad. Not great, but not bad.

l have one good thing to say ,versitle interior.
But they are 'Gay' under powered and undependable.
l think one could find a versitile interior in a better vehicle.

THey are hideous!

l am very impressed with them. Usually vehicles with funky-weird styling do not sell well, but the PT Cruiser is one of Chrysler is top selling cars. They are considered to be the most reliable wagon, they come in the hottest colors, they come in CONVERTIBLE! AND are one of Consumer Reports Best Buys!!! For 7 years in a row!!

l think they are cool looking. l do not know about reliability or anything tho.

l own one. It was bought new and now has 90,000 trouble free miles. Plenty of power and highway mileage about 30mpg.
Very roomy and versatile. You can opt for a turbo version for more power.
Its a 2002 touring edition with a automatic transmission.

l bought a 2004 Base PT Cruiser a couple of months ago & l have mixed feelings about it. It is cute, & roomy inside. The fact that the back seats fold down flat, & r removable has been very helpful for me because l haul a lot of supplies in it. However, it has already had a major problem that cost me $600 to fix. The ignition coil was bad & it had to be replaced & my fuses & all wires replaced because they were covered in carbon. Also when l recieved the car there was no oil in it--of course this could have been due to bad maitenance practice by the previous owner, but with the other problems l have experienced, it is hard to say. l also have a leak in the radiator overflow, & the hubs & wheel bearings r bad & need to be replaced. l have searched on the internet & found that the problem with the wheel bearings is very common for PT Cruisers...http://topix.net/forum/autos/chrysler-pt-cruiser/TIL09OD8D72ERULQA

l did get it for cheap.and for the price it is is nicer than a lot of the other used cars available in that price range, but l would not do it again with the knowledge l have now. l may just have a lemon, but l have a feeling it some of the issues r just plain design problems.

my brother had one and it was great on gas, lots of room rode nice and never had any problems. great little car
