I'm having a having a hard time craking my 98 plymouth voyage.could you tell me what you think it could be

Maybe you need a new battery.

First thing l would do it remove the batter cables from the battery and clean them. Wire brush off all the corrosion if there is any. Also clean the battery terminals with the same wire brush. Reconnect and try it. l see people all the time replace batteries unnecessarily, because they simply did not clean the terminals.

Be more specific. If you can hear the starter engage, but it wo not turn over, then it is the contacts in the solenoid burned down. Replace the starter(or get it fixed).

gee..what actually is '' craking '' ? and ..also, do you mean.. a 98 Plymouth Voyager ?

l believe u mean cranking. If that is correct, there r several things that could cause the problem. It could be as easy as a dirty battery connection. It could be a bad battery, a bad grounding from the engine to the battery, & even a bad connection on the starter. Could even be a bad starter. The 3.0 starter seemed to have more problems than the 3.3 or 3.8. The worse scenario, is the engine going capoot? If its locking up, it wo not crank very well, if at all. Lots of things to check. 10 to 1 its the contacts on the starter causing poor connection ..which is not supplying proper voltage to spin starter motor
