None of the brake lights on my PT Cruiser are working.The fuses have been checked and these are working fine.l have had the brake switch changed and have replaced the on side lamp unit changed as it was cracked and water had corroded it.This has not solved the problem and all 3 brake lights are still not working.Any idea is as to what is causing this problem?

Ck bulbs again then if that does not work you will need to check wires from switch to lamp.

Get an electrical diagram for the car (books are sold at auto parts stores) and find out where the grounds are - it is very possible that it has been broken or corroded.

Your brake light switch (depressed when you touch the brakes) is faulty, corroded, broken or adjusted wrong. Just get the new part from the dealer and replace.

do you havfe a trailer wiring harness on the back - if so look in the end of the connector - there may be a lot of corrosion in the connector causing your problem

Wiring harness problem or bad relay.

Check tail light grounds for clean connection and with a test light check for power at rear brake light socket with brake pedal depressed.
