l need to know the actual amount it cost Chrysler to manufacture the 330c. Not what it retails for, or the dealer price, the actual amount in parts to put it together. l believe it is somewhere between $4,000-$10,000. Where could l find the answer?

Good luck with that. Auto manufacturers rarely, if ever, provide that information.

Initially it costs millions, the cost lessens with the volume of production and sales.

l do not know if you can find out the cost, l would think it would be higher then $10,000.The labor alone would be close to $4000, l work at Toledo Jeep Wrangler Assembly plant and have been told that Chrysler can build a Wrangler for about $15000 average per vehicle.So l would think the 300c would be a little more then that.

When u ask cost to manufacturer, what costs do u want included:
* parts costs
* labor costs
* engineering & product design
* certification costs (EPA, NHTSA, etc)
* manufacturing engineering costs
* tooling costs
* plant & corporate overhead
* advertising
* warranty fund
* etc

And in what volume? If u buy 10,000 of something, it is alot cheaper per unit than if u buy 1 or 10. For example, the products my company sells, to make one it costs about $3000-; to make 10000 per year, it costs under $50- each, plus about $75,000 in tooling. This does not include overhead, design, shipping, etc. We r a small company, with rather low volumes.

Its never going to be published but l think Terry is probably about right for high volume vehicles. Things that r in production for more than about 5-7 years also get much cheaper because the tooling is paid for. This is also about when its redesigned & u would get new tooling.

This is also why companies love trucks, SUV,s & luxury vehicles. They do not really cost any more to make than a sub compact economy car but the sale price is several times higher.

The Ford Crown Vic has been in production so long its almost all labor costs because tooling is paid for.
